I knew it would happen sooner rather than later. I wasn’t happy with the header of the page, so it got a new color scheme and a new look. I like this one much better now.

While looking around the web for color ideas for a project in the preliminary stages, I came across this post in Veerle’s Blog. There are some great color resources here, tho at least one of them seems to require the use of Internet Explorer. Yeah, I’m not an IE fan. Nonetheless these are some very useful color links for when you feel down on your creativity and need a little nudge in the right direction.
- Color Calculator
- Colors in Flash
- ColorMatch (requires IE/Windows to work correctly)
- Colorscheme
- Painter’s Picker
- Color Consultant Pro
- ColorSchemer
- Adam Polselli’s “Get The Look” page

I think I finally have the mayzure.com site looking like I want it. But who knows, that could all change tomorrow when I wake up and decide I hate the color scheme, or the font is annoying me, or whatever. So, just for posterity’s sake, I’m posting a thumbnail of how the site looks right now, because in my world, nothing is safe from being re-designed on a whim.

A little side project I did for my friend alienbinary and RantMedia. You can download the full PDF here (it’s highly suggested that you right-click and choose ‘Save As…’ or ‘Save Target As…’).
Fashion Show flyer/poster

Here’s a flyer I put together for my friend Leslie back in Murfreesboro for an upcoming fundraiser fashion show. The original color scheme (on the left) is the one originally I came up with, figuring light and airy, and nothing too garish.
Well, apparently it needed to be in the offical color of the Domestic Violence Program (above on the right), which was a shade of purple. And somewhere along the line this particular shade of brown, Pantone 497 CVC, was chosen.
Oh well. The designer doesn’t always win.
